Recent Changes ClickBank And PayPal Refund Policy

Things happen so quickly online that sometimes I can only keep them. In case you missed it, PayPal announced that beginning in August 2010, there will be changes in their refund policy. In fact, I discussed this in a previous article. But what I do not take into account was ClickBank and how it affects them. Wondering how? Well, read and find out.

First, I have to clarify some confusion in my previous article. I may have mentioned that the new refund policy will now be responsible for affiliate or merchant 30 cents plus 2.9% of sales price. It is a mistake. Only 30 cents a refund loading ... at least from now. Who knows what will happen in the future? But for now, will cost only an extra 30 cents for each returned item.

But what does this have to do with ClickBank? Well, everything has to do with them. If you are not aware of it, ClickBank now allows buyers to buy through their PayPal accounts. Therefore, given that, what do you think happens when one of these PayPal Buyer requests a refund? You. ClickBank is that PayPal has to pay 30 cents per transaction. Do you think going to eat that cost?

Well, I did not think so. But I want to be sure. So I contacted my representative and asked ClickBank. The answer I got was not definitive, but it does not provide for changes in their policies on reimbursement, which means it does not see the cost passed on to us. Note the word predict. Not exactly making me feel very warm and fuzzy inside.

However, it is how things stand as of this writing. I have no idea what the future holds. I never thought that PayPal would begin to accuse us of repayment, but I think it was naive of me. After all, it cost them money every time they complete a transaction. Ditto for Clickbank. Gee, I still do not feel all warm and fuzzy.

Anyway, here's what you can do to minimize return. Selling quality products and have things in front of the sales page. I know it's a new concept for some people, but it works. Can I count on my monthly payments of less than one hand. So the more dollars out of my pocket does not kill me.
